DESCRIPTION:Webinar launching ICCPR’s clinical practice guideline on women-focused cardiac rehabilitation\nICCPR’s clinical practice guideline on women-focused cardiac rehabilitation is now available online in the Canadian Journal of Cardiology ( https://www.onlinecjc.ca/article/S0828-282X(22)00401-9/). This is the first-ever guideline on this topic. There are also tools to support women-focused CR implementation\, that are evidence-based and fully open access as well as other resources to support women-focused CR on ICCPR’s website at: https://globalcardiacrehab.com/Women-Focused-CR-CPG. \nACRA was engaged in the guideline review process\, and was one of 24 associations that endorsed this guideline. Consequently\, ACRA is pleased to announce that the lead authour of the guidelines\, Gabriela Ghisi will be delivering an exclusive webinar to launch the guidelines for ACRA members. \nThe webinar is free to all ACRA Members simply register for the event to get all the details and link! \nRegister now by clicking here \nAbout the speaker:\nDr. Gabriela Ghisi is a researcher with the KITE Research Institute\, Toronto Rehab (Canada) with a focus on patient education in chronic disease management and global access to cardiac rehabilitation. In collaboration with cardiac rehab programs around the world\, she has led the successful development\, implementation\, and evaluation of an evidence-based patient education curriculum in 10 countries. She has published ~120 papers\, authored clinical practice guidelines and developed cardiac rehabilitation-related scales. Gabriela is also a member of the executive committee of the International Council of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (ICCPR) and the International Cardiac Rehabilitation Registry (ICRR).
