DESCRIPTION:ACRA-Victoria State Conference 2019: Keeping in rhythm\nACRA Vic will be holding their state conference in October – ACRA members and the wider cardiac community are welcome to attend in person or via video conferencing (using the Zoom platform). \nThe morning program focuses on atrial fibrillation and we are fortunate to have renowned Electrophysiologist and NHMRC Practitioner Fellow Professor Jonathan Kalman provide the keynote conference presentation. This will be followed by multidisciplinary perspectives of managing AF. The afternoon will feature Victorian based research. DESCRIPTION:Secondary Prevention in Cardiology: Beyond the Everyday\nThis event will feature a mixture of invited speakers\, clinical and research topics\, and plenty of networking opportunities. The Symposium will provide a space to explore what’s new and innovative in cardiovascular secondary prevention; showcase fresh approaches to cardiac rehabilitation; share inspiring patient experiences in cardiovascular care; and reveal the latest initiatives to advance of Cardiac Rehabilitation in Queensland. \nWe have tailored the program to cover a range of topics which are “beyond the everyday” bread and butter of practice and will interest a broad cross-section of attendees. Planned topics include: \n\nOvercoming complications of surgery encountered in Cardiac Rehabilitation\nEffect of exercise therapy in CVD Surgical Patients\nA mobile app to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait people attend Cardiac Rehabilitation\nSpontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection treatment options and Cardiac Rehabilitation\nPositive Cardiac Rehabilitation outcomes in Pulmonary Hypertension\nUpdates from the Heart Foundation and Statewide Cardiac Clinical Network\nAn opportunity to submit your work for presentation as a poster throughout the symposium\nMorning tea\, lunch breaks\, afternoon tea and social event at the symposium close to enable networking with colleagues old and new\n\nCome join us for what will be a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on the great work being done in Queensland.
