DESCRIPTION:The Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association (ACRA) will host the 27th Annual Scientific Meeting in Perth\, from Monday\, 7th to Wednesday\, 9th August 2017 at the Rendezvous Hotel Scarborough. \nAs in previous years\, participants can expect an exciting and interactive program centred around clinical and research issues including the latest developments in prevention and management of cardiovascular disease. \nThe emphasis of the 2017 Meeting will focus on “Waves of Change\, Oceans of Opportunity. Our theme: Waves of Change\, Oceans of Opportunity recognises that the only constant is change and how in today’s fast-paced and highly competitive health care environment it is crucial for services to embrace new ways of delivery\, be innovative\, and above all be flexible enough to embrace the opportunities that come with change. \nACRA 2017 ASM will truly have something for everyone with concurrent\, plenary and workshop sessions delivered by a superb line up of national and local faculty\, along with a number of networking opportunities tailored to suit doctors\, nurses\, allied health professionals and anyone working within cardiovascular health and rehabilitation. Our exciting scientific program is currently being developed and will include a pre-conference workshop\, consumer perspectives\, clinical best practice\, data to drive quality improvement\, emergency care\, Aboriginal cardiac health\, technology\, telehealth and innovative care delivery\, physical activity\, nutrition\, education\, heart failure\, behaviour change\, empathy and psychocardiology and much much more. \nMark your diary now! \n
