DESCRIPTION:ACRA-Qld/Heart Foundation Secondary Prevention in Cardiology Symposium:\n“Surfing the Waves of Change“\n  \nRegistration now open\, program just released!\nFriday\, 20th October 2017\nSunshine Coast University Hospital\n8:30am-4:15pm\nhttps://www.trybooking.com/QVLI \n(also limited number of videoconference registrations available for those outside of Brisbane/Sunshine Coast)\nRegistration is now open for the 2017 ACRA-Qld and Heart Foundation Annual Symposium to be held on Friday\, the 20th October at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute\, Sunshine Coast University Hospital\, Doherty Street\, Birtinya. This event will feature a mixture of invited speakers\, clinical and research topics\, and plenty of networking opportunities. We have tailored the program to cover a range of topics which will interest a broad cross-section of attendees\, as well as showcase speakers and services local to the Sunshine Coast area. We hope to keep also “the patient story” central to all presentations. \nPlease click here for the program (may be subject to change) for details about the day. Confirmed sessions include: \n\nSurfing the waves of change: Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay CR showcase\nThe latest evidence and guidelines in lifestyle and risk factor management\nSurfing the digital health waves: health innovation projects and programs\nThe impending wave of acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease in Qld\nInteractive Secondary Prevention and ACRA-Qld CR Think Tank session: discussion\, collaboration and networking will be strongly encouraged\nWalk through of the newly opened Sunshine Coast University Hospital (booking required\, numbers limited)\nAn extended afternoon tea at the symposium close to enable networking with colleagues old and new\n\nCome join us for what will be a fantastic educational opportunity.
