In recognition of the hard work by our members, The ACRA offer two types of awards each year. These are presented at the Conference Dinner, during the National Conference in August each year.
The types of awards are:
Distinguised Service Award
The aim of the DSA is to celebrate those individuals who have provided extrodinary service to cardiac rehabilitation at both a national and state level in Australia. Life membership of the ACRA is given to the recipient of this award.
Merit Award
The aim of the Merit Award is to recognise those members who have displayed an important contribution to the ACRA organisation.
The ACRA EMC offer two types of scholarships each year to members of the association.
Co-ordinator's Scholarships
Two co-ordinator scholarships are offered to Cardiac Rehabilitation Program co-ordinators each year in order to assist them in attending a national or state education event. Each scholarship is to the value of $500.*
Rural Scholarships
Two rural scholarships are offered to members who work in rural cardiac rehabilitation programs in order to assist them in attending a national or state education event. Each scholarship is to the value of $500.*
Travel Grants are offered to members to assist with costs in attending the National Conference at which they have had an abstract or poster accepted for presentation. Travel grants are the the value of $500.*
